Frameworks for early-stage conviction.

Curated guidance for high-net-worth investors and family offices evaluating early-stage revenue technology opportunities. Built on the principles that drive Revelocity Ventures.

Investment thesis

Why revenue technology, why now.

The shift from growth-at-all-costs to durable, measurable revenue performance has created a generational window for early-stage investors. Companies that help other companies grow revenue predictably are among the most defensible businesses being built today.

The revenue performance gap

Most enterprises still rely on disconnected tools and manual processes to manage their revenue engine. The companies closing that gap command premium valuations and strong retention.

AI as a revenue multiplier

Artificial intelligence is not a category — it is an accelerant. The most compelling opportunities apply AI directly to revenue workflows: forecasting, pipeline management, customer expansion, and GTM execution.

The 1–3 year return horizon

We target companies with clear paths to liquidity within 1–3 years — through strategic acquisition, secondary markets, or growth-stage follow-on rounds. Speed and focus are structural advantages at the micro-VC scale.

Portfolio construction

Building a concentrated, high-conviction portfolio.

Revelocity Ventures takes deliberate positions in a small number of companies. Concentration is a feature, not a risk — when paired with deep diligence and strong operator relationships.

01

Concentration over diversification

We hold 8–12 positions per fund cycle. Each position receives meaningful capital, active support, and genuine attention. We do not spray and pray.

02

Entry discipline

We invest at pre-seed and seed stages where our capital creates the most leverage and valuations reflect genuine early-stage risk — not inflated by late-stage momentum.

03

Reserve allocation

We reserve capital for follow-on in our highest-conviction positions. Pro-rata rights are a core part of our return strategy.

04

Operator co-investment

We actively seek co-investment from operators and domain experts who add signal, relationships, and accountability alongside capital.

Risk management

How we think about downside.

Early-stage investing carries real risk. We manage it through process, not optimism.

Thesis fit as a first filter

We decline the majority of opportunities we see. A company that does not fit our revenue-performance thesis does not enter our pipeline regardless of team quality or market size.

Founder reference diligence

We conduct structured reference checks on every founding team — including back-channel conversations with former colleagues, customers, and investors who have worked with them under pressure.

Market timing assessment

We evaluate whether the market is ready to buy, not just whether the technology is ready to ship. Premature market entry is the most common cause of early-stage failure.

Milestone-based follow-on

Follow-on capital is tied to demonstrated progress against agreed milestones — not to calendar schedules or relationship inertia.
